Privacy Policy
Our Family Dashboard ("the app," "we," "us") is a family calendar and organization board. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.
Information we collect
We only collect what is needed to run your family board:
- Account details. The email address and password you use to sign in. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are stored in hashed form; we never see your plain-text password.
- Board content you enter. Your family name, family members' names and colors, chores, to-dos, daily schedule, countdown, a photo link and caption, and any calendar links (iCal URLs) you add.
- Location for weather. The city or place name you type in Setup, used only to show your local forecast.
- Notification tokens. If you turn on morning notifications, we store the push subscription your browser/device provides so we can deliver that notification.
- Basic technical data. Standard server logs (such as IP address and device/browser type) generated when the app loads, used for security and reliability.
How we use information
- To display your family's calendar, meals, chores, schedule, and photo across your devices and TV.
- To sign you in and keep your board in sync.
- To send the optional morning notification you enabled.
- To maintain the security and performance of the service.
Calendars you connect
When you add a calendar link, the app reads events from that calendar feed (for example Google, Apple, or Outlook) to show them on your board. The app only reads the feed you provide; it does not modify your calendar.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted services to operate the app: a cloud database and authentication provider (Supabase), web hosting (Vercel), a weather data provider (Open-Meteo), and your browser/device push service for notifications. These providers process data only to provide their part of the service.
Children and family data
The app is intended for a parent or adult household member to set up and manage. Any information about children (such as a child's first name or chores) is entered by the adult account owner for the family's own use. The app is not directed at children to collect information from them directly, and it contains no advertising.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers above, or when required by law.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can remove members, calendars, chores, and other content at any time in Setup. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our database provider. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
